Sonya Côté's Biography:
Sonya Cote is a singer, actress and writer living in Toronto. She has released two CDs, the first titled Dange, Redhead Ahead and the second, One Kiss Closer to Heaven. Sonya has appeared in numerous commercials, movies, television shows and live singing venues, in Canada and abroad.
She also works extensively as a voiceover artist in English and French. Her voice does most anything; she is likely the polite and detached voice of your telephone banking service ("Your patience really is appreciated"), the sultry, purring woman seducing you into buying McCain coffee cakes on television ("What IS a Strussel, anyway?"), the voice on your hair salon video, telling you what looks best on you ("It’s all about texture this season. Riveting!")
Sonya will also be releasing her third CD, due out the same time as her one-woman show. The CD is titled Jezebel's Jewels.
She is working with Dora Award winner Waylen Miki, musical director, on both the CD and the show. More about Waylen HERE.
