Sonya Côté is a singer, actress and writer living in Toronto. She has released two CDs, the first titled Danger Redhead Ahead and the second, One Kiss Closer to Heaven. Sonya has appeared in numerous commercials, television shows, television series, films and live singing venues, in Canada and abroad. She also works extensively as a voice over artist, in English and French.
Currently in development is Jezebel's Lament: Words, Jazz and Burlesque.
Sonya plays Jezebel; a stripper, singer, actress, mother, writer and best friend. Jezebel's Lament will take you through two decades of self discovery while nude, the daughter in law of Canada's literary queen, the fashionable divorcee - twice - and now single mother, with fortunes lost and everything gained.

The Toronto Burlesque Festival: Northern
Sonya Jezebel Côté was a featured performer in the first ever Toronto Burlesque Festival. Artists from Montreal, Vancouver, Chicago, New York and Los Angeles were invited to participate in this event. Sonya performed her French Torch single spotlight black widow number to a rapt audience on Friday, the launch of the Festival, at the Gladstone Hotel. Saturday night at the Mod Club found her doing her famous Jezebel comedic routine to a sold out crowd. Next year promises to be even bigger!
